History of the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center
Owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties and operated by Marriott International, this resort is not only right near Walt Disney World, but also hosts popular Christmas and holiday programming such as Best of Florida Christmas as well as ICE!, an event featuring hand-carved ice sculpture.
Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center was launched in 2002 and has recently been renovated to add more rooms and increase the convention center space. The impressive $158 million renovation was touted to be the hotel’s largest expansion in its entire history since its launch and was completed in just two years between 2019 and 2021. Now, there’s more than 500,000 square feet to work with when it comes to events.
